This policy covers the ZULU Field apps for iOS and Android and the ZULU Field web app (together, "the app"), published by EFG technologies Inc. ("we").

Summary

We do not collect any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking.
Your location is used only on your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else.
The iOS and Android apps' only network traffic is map requests to the map providers (below), exactly as with any online map.

Location

With your permission, the app reads your device's location to show your position and its MGRS grid reference on the map and to compute light data (twilight, sunrise/sunset, moonrise/moonset) for where you are. All of this is computed on the device. The location is not transmitted, not stored on any server and not shared. The app does not ask for background ("always") location permission. The app works without location permission; it then shows NO POS.

The app remembers the last map position you viewed and your settings (map layer, grid on/off) on the device, so the map opens where you left it. This stays on the device and is removed when you delete the app.

Map tiles and network requests

To draw the map while online, the app requests map tiles, map styles, fonts and icons from these providers:

Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI) — cyberjapandata.gsi.go.jp (GSI Standard Map, GSI Aerial Photo)
OpenFreeMap — tiles.openfreemap.org (worldwide map)

Like any request on the internet, these requests necessarily reveal to the provider your IP address and which map tiles are requested, and therefore approximately which area you are viewing. The app does not add your location, any identifier or any other data to these requests. The providers handle these requests under their own policies. We do not receive or see these requests. In the iOS app, the OFFLINE ONLY switch stops all network requests.

The web app is additionally loaded from the static web host that serves this site. As with any website, the host receives ordinary web requests (including your IP address) to deliver the files; we do not use them to identify or track you.

Offline maps

Map areas you download are stored only on your device (in the app's storage, or in the browser's storage for the web app). You can delete them in the app at any time; deleting the app deletes them.

What we do not do

No collection of personal data, device identifiers, contacts, photos or usage data.
No sharing or selling of data to anyone.
No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
No analytics, profiling or tracking across apps or websites.
No cookies in the web app.

Operating system services

Your phone's operating system may provide the location itself using its own services (for example Wi-Fi or cell-based positioning by Apple or Google). That is governed by your device settings and the operating system vendor's privacy policy, not by the app.

Children

The app does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If the app ever begins to collect data, we will say so here and in the app store listings before that version is released.

本ポリシーは、EFG technologies Inc.（以下「当社」）が提供する ZULU Field の iOS アプリ・Android アプリ・Web アプリ（以下「本アプリ」）に適用されます。

概要

当社は個人データを一切収集しません。アカウント・ログイン・広告・解析・クラッシュレポート・トラッキングはありません。
位置情報は端末の中だけで使い、当社にも第三者にも送信しません。
iOS・Android アプリの通信は、一般的なオンライン地図と同じく、下記の地図提供元への地図の要求だけです。

位置情報

許可をいただいた場合、本アプリは端末の位置情報を読み取り、地図上の現在地とその MGRS 座標の表示、および現在地の光量データ（薄明・日の出入り・月の出入り）の計算に使います。計算はすべて端末内で行い、位置情報を送信・サーバーに保存・共有することはありません。バックグラウンド（「常に許可」）の位置情報の権限は求めません。位置情報を許可しなくても本アプリは使え、その場合は NO POS と表示します。

次回起動時に同じ場所を表示するため、最後に見ていた地図の位置と設定（地図の種類・格子の表示）を端末内に保存します。これは端末の外に出ず、アプリを削除すると消えます。

地図タイルと通信

オンラインで地図を表示するため、本アプリは次の提供元に地図タイル・地図スタイル・フォント・アイコンを要求します。

国土地理院 — cyberjapandata.gsi.go.jp（地理院標準地図・地理院写真）
OpenFreeMap — tiles.openfreemap.org（世界の地図）

インターネット上の通信の性質上、提供元には IP アドレスと要求された地図タイル、したがって表示しているおおよその範囲が伝わります。本アプリがこれらの要求に位置情報・識別子その他のデータを付け加えることはありません。提供元はそれぞれのポリシーに従ってこれらの要求を扱います。当社がこれらの要求を受け取ったり見たりすることはありません。iOS アプリの OFFLINE ONLY スイッチを入れると、一切の通信を止めます。

Web アプリは、このサイトを配信する静的ホスティングからも読み込まれます。一般的な Web サイトと同じく、ホスティングはファイルの配信のために通常の要求（IP アドレスを含む）を受け取りますが、当社がそれを利用者の識別や追跡に使うことはありません。

オフライン地図

ダウンロードした範囲の地図は端末内（Web アプリではブラウザの保存領域）にだけ保存されます。アプリ内でいつでも削除でき、アプリを削除すると消えます。

OS の機能

端末の OS が、自らのサービス（Apple や Google の Wi-Fi・基地局による測位など）を使って位置を求めることがあります。これは端末の設定と OS 提供元のプライバシーポリシーに従うもので、本アプリの管理外です。

お子さま

本アプリは、お子さまを含むどなたからも個人データを収集しません。

変更

本ポリシーを変更する場合は、このページと施行日を更新します。将来データを収集するようになる場合は、その版の公開前に、このページとストアの掲載情報でお知らせします。
